Baptism is one of the two sacraments of the Lutheran Church. At Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, we baptize all ages, including infants with the understanding that God's grace and love touches us before we even know who God is. It is the faith of the parents and sponsors that lead the child to receive the sacrament. Through baptism the child is a member of the church and it is expected that the parents will follow through with the vows make that they will provide for the faith formation of the child; teaching of scripture, Lord's Prayer, 10 Commandments, creeds, until that time where the child can affirm his/her faith through the rite of confirmation in grades 6-8.
